on to more pressing matters. convinced that english literature is total bs. how do teachers know that an author meant to use this as a symbol when they're all dead. all you need for an english essay is a lots of floating facts and general knowledge, a wild imagination to link all these 'symbols and motifs' together to form a completely logical presentation on how a book is in fact a four part song due to the fact that the author was an aspiring concert pianist- sprinkle in a handful of quotes and words with more than 4 syllables. ta nah. A+. how are students supposed to write about what the authors were trying to do. how do teachers know the right answers. go through a book drawing far fetched ideas to piece together a 1500 word commentary.

wahahaha good to see that i am not the only one who: 1.takes english higher and simultaneously 2.is convinced that it is total BS! u kno tho, i can almost handle all that crap they say abt the quotes and 4-syll words, symbols motifs doodaa, and how literature is FANTASSSTIC but TONE?!? i mean REALLY?! its ink on paper dammit!
and the way they profess to the 'one right answer' like its fruitin' MATH! or Science! (which of course both even have multiple answers sometimes!) and they say "the 'CORRECT' tone for THIS poem is.." ! NONSENSE! BS INDEED!! Otherwise there is no such thing as 'INTERPRETATION' !! >_<
just like music and paintings bring out different emotions in different people, how can those pompous english FOOLS even use the words 'interpret' and 'correct' in the same sentence?!? GAAAAAAHHH
