I may not be brash, attention getting or petty, but I'm hardly a shrinking doormat. Make sure that the people who count know that, especially if a certain coworker is trying to take advantage of my more modest mood and take credit for the great ideas that were all mine. I may be feeling more contemplative more recently, but my ambition certainly isn't on the back burner. If I'm in the presence of the powers that be, let them hear me.

I learnt an important business lesson in the fast-paced competitive world of DREXIM (Dragon Export Import/Junior Achievers). It's great to share information and ideas with friends. Just make sure you are given and you take credit for what ideas were yours.
Unfortunately, I was 10 mins late for the meeting- Once the bandwagon has started rolling, admitting you were the initial driver seems lame and petty; but right here right now - I don't care. Running unopposed for the Vice-President of Marketing does NOT give you much a) credibility and b) respect especially for a relatively unknown new student. When you have no idea what to say as VP because its all been said and done for you and credit taken for you, you feel like an idiot, especially since I'm supposed to be getting a recommendation from one of the teachers present.
The coworker said to me after the meeting (teachers absent) when I remarked that those were ideas were initially mine:
"Come on Jian, Give me credit for stealing your ideas!"
I can honestly say, well done. You pulled off the most blatant credit-snatching I have seen for a long time.
Thank You. You just taught me a lesson.
I am fucking seething... might not seem like a huge deal. but for a close friend.
